Is there any research based on introducing this topic at the elementary level to enlighten peers and teachers regarding introverts?

Well, it is a hard question to answer, because I guess you'd only know if you work in academia or educational services, but my overall feeling is a 'No'. I think there are many psychological topics that would be great to teach schoolchildren, but it seems that the overall practice is to omit it from the standard curriculum and focus on more 'bread and butter' topics. Also, the concept of introversion at least from a physiological perspective seems to be still fairly new within psychology so I think it is unlikely that it will gain mainstream acceptance for at least another couple of decades - sadly...

Yes there is a research and there is a survey on it. It depends on the location and culture of the kids on the elementary level that reflects there way of education.What is LNG (http://www.whatlng.com/)
