Does this book have translated version?
« on: August 10, 2008, 05:47:26 AM »
Hi, I'm a newbie, from Asia, Thailand (but my nationality is Vietnam).

I accidentally found this book a few days ago and just finished readind it. It truly clarified quite a few things for me. What I want to ask is have the author, Marti, considerred having it translated to other languages.

Since I came from Asia, the society I grew up in is a bit different (bit more balanced between intro/extro but not by much, maybe 30 % or so of introverts here) and the social dynamic is also a bit different (society generally accepts introverts a bit more though there are negative sides of this. Oppression for example). However, we're changing quite fast and the balance seems to be tipping more and more to the extroverts (espeically the younger generations) in a negative way (I know you're going to mull on this so I won't elaborate).

I think this book would be very much appreciated if it's served in the right communication chanel for these introverts.

What are your opinions?

I'm reading the book's version in Brazillian Portuguese.

The main problem I saw on it so far was the wrongly translated title. It landed here as "A vantagem do t?mido", which in english would be "The Shy Advantage".

I'm new here too, I've almost finished the book and would like to know if it has been translated into spanish so my husband can read it too?  Anyone?  I'm a highly sensitive introvert, he is a (remarkably sensitive) extrovert and has children of both flavours from a previous relationship.
