Marti Olsen Laney, Psy.D., M.F.T., is an author, researcher, speaker, educator and psychoanalyst. Dr. Laney is America’s foremost authority on introversion. She is the first person to integrate wide ranging physiological studies that explain the fundamental differences between introverted and extroverted bodies and brains. Her first book, The Introvert Advantage: How to Thrive In an Extrovert World has sold over 500,000 copies worldwide. It’s in it’s sixteenth printing and it has been translated into seventeen languages. Dr. Laney is listed in Who’s, Who of American Women and the Guide to America’s Top Mental Health Professionals. Her second book, The Hidden Gifts of the Introverted Child: How to Help Your Child Thrive in an Extroverted World, has been well received by parents, counselors, therapists and care-givers.
